爱丽丝顿酒庄是由三藩市最后一名民选警察局长Henry Hiram Ellis购买该幅土地，和在1885年建成该酒庄。到1890年，Ellis开始在该土地上种植葡萄。在淘金热时期是一名船长后抵三藩市的Ellis最后再成为三藩市警察后停止该酒庄的工作，后更成为民选警察局长和美国驻土耳其大使。该酒庄本身已是丰富的历史。
