（中央社伦敦4日专电）英国捕鼠官的政绩出炉，住在首相官邸的「第一猫」赖瑞，捕鼠成绩大幅落后于外交部的黑白猫巴默斯顿，实在不太称职。
肥嘟嘟的虎斑猫赖瑞（Larry）是前首相卡麦隆（David Cameron）为了解决唐宁街10号的鼠患问题，在2011年开始饲养的猫，现在10岁。卡麦隆去职后，赖瑞仍留下，换了新主人梅伊（Theresa May）。

不过，虽然号称内阁办公室首席捕鼠官，赖瑞却是缺乏「杀手本能」，对捕鼠没有太大兴趣，曾经被镜头捕捉到，先是抓到一只小老鼠，却又「纵鼠归巢」。赖瑞不太会抓老鼠，但却颇会抓镜头。它每天最爱在唐宁街10号外晃来晃去，在媒体前翻滚卖萌，露出白肚皮，吸引视线。
相较下，身材明显标准许多的巴默斯顿（Palmerston）则恪守捕鼠官职务。
